The rarest of the natural diamond family, thanks also to its mysterious glow.

Our Black Diamonds

Made from a different form of carbon than its peers, black diamonds have always been very rare and, as a result, very valuable – although not as much as their white namesakes.

The typical inclusions of iron oxides and the clusters of graphite within it give it its sought-after opaque colour, which varies from a tendency towards a "smoky" grey to the deepest and most intense black.

Found in almost all cases in alluvial deposits in the Central African Republic or Brazil, these precious stones cannot be valued according to the normal standards adopted for diamonds, precisely because of their typical characteristics. Invalidating the methodology of the four Cs, their market price is determined by size, cut and possible mounting on jewelry.

Precisely because of their opacity, any transparencies are to be considered as defects.
