[message]Brown Diamond
Diamonds that have remained nameless for a long time.
Our Brown Diamonds
Substantially unknown to the general public and used only as industrial abrasives until a few decades ago, brown diamonds have slowly conquered their place in the gemological market, above all thanks to the Rio Tinto Group, the mining company that owns the ''Argyle'' deposits where most of these precious stones are found.
Also called ''champagne'' when their color is light with yellow or golden inflections, or ''cognac'' – in the case in which they show a warmer color, characterized by reflections from orange to reddish, they appear in a wide chromatic scale reaching specific inflections, such as that of caramel or cinnamon. These shapes derive from two elements, namely temperature and pressure exerted by the depths of the earth on the crystalline structure of these stones.
Brown diamonds are also distinguished by their ability to reflect light with particular intensity.
