[message]Sapphire
The brightest blue stone in the world
Our Sapphires
Belonging to the corundum family, Sapphire is one of the most sought-after and precious stones in the world.
Characterized by a very intense blue that appears in different intensities, this precious stone has the peculiarity of an iridescent chrome plating: if illuminated, it can change color until it reaches purple hues.
It is found, in most cases, inside marble-type rocks and takes shape from the fusion of different elements, including lava magma.
Among the best known we find the Kashmir sapphire, celebrated for its particular colour tending towards cornflower blue, but this refined stone appears in different colours, depending on the extraction area and, consequently, on its composition.
In fact, it is possible to find them on the market in green, orange, reddish, purple and yellow shades, in correlation with the presence of elements such as chromium, iron and titanium.
A very rare variant found in Pakistan comes to show an orange-pink color. These varieties, outside of blue and red corundums (i.e. rubies), are called Fancy Sapphires.
