[message]White Diamonds
The undisputed king of precious stones.
Our White Diamonds
Considered the queen stone in the field of jewelry, the diamond takes its name from the Greek term "adamas" - meaning "indomitable", due to its extreme hardness, a typical characteristic of this precious stone. Originating in the mantle of our planet, it reaches the surface through volcanic eruptions, set in a material called kimberlite which, once crumbled, allows diamonds to settle in deposits of a typically alluvial nature.
Classified according to the rule of the four ''C'' (Colour, Clarity, Cut, Carat), they come in various shapes and colours. Among all of them, the white one is the most classic and commercialised variant.
It should be noted that, although they are often associated with colourless diamonds, this particular chromatic effect places the specimens that display it within the category of "fancy" (coloured) diamonds, by virtue of their effectively opaline appearance, we could say almost milky, often translucent, where the normal condition is that of transparency.
They are frequently associated with their black counterparts because, in both cases, the particular chromatic inflection presented is the result of a high number of micro/nano-inclusions.
The most significant extraction areas are currently found in India, Brazil and in particular on the African continent, such as South Africa.
